The Ripple Effect of TMAI’s Pastoral Training
The focus of The Master’s Academy International is the training and equipping of indigenous men for pastoral ministry around the world. However, this is not where its influence and training ceases.
When equipped men are faithful to teach the truth of scripture, it transforms individuals, which in turn will begin to change and mature entire church bodies.
And the TMAI training centers’ commitment to the centrality of the local church means that transformation is not limited to men who will one day pastor churches. It will affect pastors, counselors, college students, retirees, mothers, and whole families.
We thank God that each class is taught by women who completed the Berea Certificate in Biblical Studies.
At Berea Seminary in Leon, Spain, the effects of this are being seen.
One Berea professor articulated this reality, “The Lord, in His goodness, produces a desire to hear the Word, causing maturity in church families through the preaching and teaching.”
Like a stone dropped in a pond, the ripple of Biblical preaching and teaching matures the saints who hear it. And in Spain, the women of the church are using their understanding of the word to build up the body. He continues,
“In recent months, by the grace of God, we are observing great growth in the church, not only numerically but also spiritually. In addition, the Lord is bringing more people every Sunday interested in the gospel, so the place is full and sometimes with people standing in the back.
The women began their new season of “Arraigadas en la Palabra” (“Rooted in the Word”) studying the attributes of God. More than 50 women of all ages meet and study together in groups led by sisters who completed the Berea Certificate in Biblical Studies.
The children meet every Sunday in their Sunday school classes, occupying all the available rooms. We thank God that each class is taught by women who completed the Berea Certificate in Biblical Studies.”
How Berea Seminary Strengthens the Local Church in Spain
When a training center thrives, its graduates are able to train and equip not only men to be shepherds and pastors, but laypeople in the counsel and encouragement of one another in the truth of the God’s word. This is what creates a healthy, functioning church body.
