You can probably think of a handful of books that have dramatically affected your life. Of course, every believer should affirm that Scripture is supreme, that no other resource carries the weight of God’s inspired Word. Still, the faithful work of other saints—often received in written form—can be mightily used by God to shape our thinking, train us up in righteousness, and move us along in the discipleship progress.
We are all dust! That’s what the author wants us to remember. I realized how much I needed that reminder. We want to serve the Lord but often we forget that we are finite.
When it comes to The Master’s Academy International’s commitment to train nationals around the world for ministry, a premium is placed on having such books available in the local language. Individual volumes must be carefully selected, and time and resources must be dedicated to ensure quality and accuracy. But in the midst of a plethora of unbiblical and misleading material within Christian publishing today, investment in biblical resources is critical to training the next generation of church leaders.
That in mind, the faculty of European Bible Training Center (EBTC) has recently published two helpful books—Zeal without Burnout by Christopher Ash and Is Jesus Christ God? by Johannes Pflaum. These practical, theologically rich books are now available in German—with Ash’s work being translated from English and Pflaum’s being written and published in German. These projects were carefully selected and took time and effort to produce, but the books are already having a direct impact across the European continent. Here is some insight into that impact:
Response to Zeal without Burnout:
“We are all dust! That’s what the author wants us to remember. I realized how much I needed that reminder. We want to serve the Lord but often we forget that we are finite. And then we are surprised when “all of a sudden“ we are in bad shape. Ash challenges us to pursue passionate service that on the one hand is deliberate and radical and on the other hand, lasts a lifetime.
I highly recommend this book. The typeface is pleasing, the writing style is refreshing, and, most of all, it is saturated by Scripture.”

Response to Is Jesus Christ God?
“Some may ask why it is necessary to write on this topic. Especially in evangelical circles, one starts with the fact that Jesus Christ is God. Why then a book about this issue? Some might think that this only makes sense in preparing to talk to Jehovah’s Witnesses!
However, when examining the evangelical landscape in German-speaking Europe, one finds that the deity of Christ tends to be more and more in doubt. Particularly in terms of ecumenism, there will be great tensions with regard to this truth, since an aggregation of faiths and religions is only possible if absolute claims of the Bible are given up. The author has worked very thoroughly, he is clear and structured. Thus it is not difficult to follow his thoughts and to understand them. This apologetic book is extremely important for our time.”

The faculty of TMAI training centers around the world work diligently to provide the best and most applicable resources available to their student and their communities—in their native language. Last year, TMAI oversaw the translation or writing of 49 volumes. Please keep this work in prayer as we seek to provide the resources needed to train church leaders worldwide.
