It can be difficult to connect a specific person with the idea of a scholarship.
It’s easy to wonder Who exactly is it that I’m praying for? What are they like? What do their ministry and church look like?
And many times, you may never know exactly who is impacted, and how.
Today, we want to you to meet Mazwi Mlambo, a pastor in Zimbabwe and student at Christ Seminary (CS) in South Africa. Like nearly all TMAI students, Mazwi’s training was made possible by our donors’ generous support.
“For ordinary people like me, it is difficult to afford this kind of education, if not by His mighty and gracious hand.”
“The Lord has been gracious since day one,” Mazwi shared. “The challenges come and go, but all I can learn is His faithfulness that endures forever.”
“The journey was tough considering we were in COVID-19 and attended many classes online, having network problems, and being unable to cross the border from Zimbabwe. But God is good and kind.”
We are reminded through Mazwi’s testimony of the vital and necessary support that God uses TMAI’s donors to provide,
“For ordinary people like me, it is difficult to afford this kind of education, if not by His mighty and gracious hand.”
He recognizes that though he is being taught and equipped as CS, there will still always be more to learn about ministry.
“One of the pitfalls in ministry is to do things ignorantly; however, I now have all the tools I need for ministry. Of course, there is always room to learn more.
I learnt much about having a high view of God and the Scriptures. But I see much improvement in the area of biblical counseling, preaching that exalts God, and all the different ministries of a pastor.”
I now have all the tools I need for ministry.
Through the years of hard study and challenging work, Mazwi’s heart is full of gratitude and thanksgiving to the Lord and to all those God has used in his life.
“During these three years, I grew in godliness and I’m still growing. I am thankful for and appreciate the faithful and kind men, my lecturers, who invested such excellent work in me and all my colleagues. I’m grateful to my peers for the love we were sharing and working together in many ways.”
“I also express the gratitude in my heart to the Lord, for everything that comes from Him and through Him and to Him are all things for His glory. I appreciate the people used by the Lord to support such enormous work at Christ Seminary.”
“Would you pray for my future ministry that I can serve my Lord in faithfulness and love Him more until He returns.”
I appreciate the people used by the Lord to support such enormous work at Christ Seminary.
We thank you for contributing to the work of the ministry, for the sake of men like Mazwi being equipped to shepherd Christ’s church to better know, love, and serve Him.
Let us pray for him and the hundreds of other pastors like him at TMAI training centers around the world, to serve the Lord in faithfulness until He returns.
