The Philippines
Spanish explorers first brought the Roman Catholic faith to the Philippines in the 16th century. Today, over 80 percent of the population identifies as Roman Catholic—more than any other country in Asia. Yet there are many churches eager for pastoral training. The Expositor’s Academy is responding to these requests and is training men from all over this island country.
TODAY, PRAY FOR
- Many among the Philippines’ largely Catholic population to repent and believe the gospel.
- God to raise up and send trained Filipino pastors to be missionaries in the surrounding Asia-Pacific region.
- The protection of TMAI’s faculty and students amid the country’s growing influence of radical Islam.
