I lift up my eyes to the mountains. From where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Life is a journey one begins at birth. The journey comes to an end when one’s final breath is taken. It is full of challenges and it is hard to cope with. Many in Malawi find it hard to live from day to day. To deal with the fear of death and other challenges of life, many go to witch doctors to find protection. Sadly, this is no protection at all. People find other empty ways to deal with these challenges. Are you controlled by fear? Do the challenges of life press in on you? Look outside of yourself, and up to God. Help is found in Him, hope is found in His Son Jesus Christ. I still remember how as a family we used to live in fear. My father and mother were always trying to look for the best witch doctor so that we had the best protection. We always lived fearing that behind everything in life there was an evil spirit seeking to destroy us. Yet when I put my trust in God through His Son, Jesus Christ, my world changed. When Christ became my Savior, all fear was gone. Whenever fear gripped me, I always knew one thing—I knew how to lift my heart in prayer to God. I knew that the all-powerful God was always there for me, to protect me, and to provide for all my needs. Life was different from that moment when through Christ, by grace, God became my Father. I learned to cast all my cares on Him because He cares. Are you controlled by fear? Do the challenges of life press in on you? Look outside of yourself, and up to God. Help is found in Him, hope is found in His Son Jesus Christ. Cast every burden onto Him.
