Around the world, we are witnessing the Lord fulfill His promise to build His church.
As His chosen people come to saving faith in His Son across the nations, they develop a desire to know Him through His Word. As their hunger for Scriptural truth intensifies, so does the need for pastors who are equipped to preach that truth and shepherd their churches in Christ.
The Growing Demand for Pastoral Training
The demand for pastoral training is increasing faster than ever. In addition to our 19 member schools, TMAI is working with more than 50 training ministries worldwide that recognize the urgent need to train indigenous pastors to faithfully preach and teach according to the truths of Scripture.
These schools labor tirelessly to train, equip, and send men to pastor churches in their home countries. As their ministries expand, these men often cross borders—bringing their training with them. In neighboring nations, new ministries begin to take root as the truth is taught and lives are transformed.
How New Ministries Are Taking Root
As these emerging ministries recognize the need to train local pastors, they often reach out to partner with TMAI for financial and academic support and accountability. In God’s providence, new training efforts are being established where the need is most urgent.
- In Madagascar, the 3M Preaching Institute launched its official training program in 2023. Today, 15 men are enrolled in their second year of the expository preaching program, and another cohort began their first semester in Fall 2024.
- In Colombia, a developing training ministry is reaching men not only throughout the country but also in nearby nations such as Venezuela.
- Other developing training efforts are emerging in England and Romania and are on track to become TMAI member schools in the next few years.
From Training to Transformation
In each of these places, the pattern is clear: as men are trained in the Word, local churches are strengthened, neighboring regions are reached, and more pastors are equipped. The Lord is proving faithful in multiplying the ministry of His Word through the faithful training of shepherds.
