When a heart is transformed, those closest to it will be the first to experience its change.
As men are sanctified through studying the word and Christlike discipleship, their marriages and families will feel the effects. The life of this newly thriving family becomes a testimony of God’s goodness and power to all who observe it.
In two different nations, students of TMAI schools in Spain and the Middle East**, Javier and John*, can both testify to how an opportunity to study has irrevocably changed their lives and the lives of their families.
“My wife, seeing the change told me that if God in whom I believed had changed me, was also willing to follow Him.”
For John, this meant persecution for both him and his wife. Nevertheless, they were faithful.
“After turning to Christ, my life began to change,” John says. “My wife, seeing the change told me that if God in whom I believed had changed me, was also willing to follow Him.”
A newly Christian family in a Muslim context, the husband and wife’s new faith was intensely tested.
“One day, ten people came to where we lived: our uncles, relatives, and Islamic clergy. They started yelling at me and tried to beat me…God gave me fortitude, and I repeatedly declared to all who came to ‘change my mind’ that Christ alone is the is the only Lord and Savior.”
Today, they are members of a local evangelical church and John is two years into his studies at a TMAI training center.
Recently, John has finished his course in Biblical Counseling, which he shares, “…helped me to have a deeper understanding of the Gospel and how to work with my heart and with people who need help…It is a great joy to be one of the students of TMAI.”
In Spain, Javier attributes his ability to study at Berea Seminary with the growth of his family life.
Berea Seminary has marked a ‘before and after’ in my Christian life
“Thanks to Berea, it has brought great personal blessing in my relationship with the Lord to be able to know Him more and to improve my relationship with my wife and my two children,” Javier states.
“Berea Seminary has marked a ‘before and after’ in my Christian life and as a pastor of the Lord’s flock.”
Finally, Javier shares with us his passion for continuing at Berea. He says, “I want to be able to pass before God in not neglecting my home, nor the church, and to perform excellently in everything that God has called me up.”
