Throughout my time with TMAI, I have seen the Lord working in each of our graduates, using them to strengthen His Church and bring souls to Himself.
This fruit of training has been present since TMAI first began, yet over the past few years, I have seen the effect that training one man can have on Kingdom work in a unique way.
The impact we are seeing today is multiplying around the world on an unprecedented scale.
I recently had the opportunity to witness this firsthand: I was in a restricted-access country in Asia where Christianity is heavily persecuted. This training ministry began with one man, Henry*, who saw the great need for biblically trained pastors in his country and traveled all way to the TMAI Training Center in the Philippines: The Expositor’s Academy (TEA).
At TEA, Henry was taught how to study and preach the word, surrounded by men who loved the Lord and encouraged him to do the same. He saw the value of what he was learning and had a burden to bring this training to his church and to other pastors back home. With the support of TEA, Henry returned home and arranged for conferences and classes to be held throughout this persecuted country.
Despite the risks of publicly professing Christ, hundreds of pastors gathered to hear Scripture preached faithfully and to be taught how to do the same.
Since the start of his training in 2022, TMAI has assisted Henry in hosting conferences and starting a training program. This fall, I had the privilege of attending the first graduation of 18 men from this expository preaching program.
Each one of these men are risking their livelihoods to proclaim what they have learned to a dark and dying world.

God used the training of one man to bring training and teaching to hundreds of believers where gospel ministry is scarce. This is the power of multiplication, and it is happening at each of our 19 Training Centers around the world.
The impact of one trained pastor has ripple effects that are felt in whole communities and extend into neighboring countries. This is why funding student scholarships is necessary for missions—and we need your help.
As we close this year and look forward to 2025, your gift to the TMAI Student Scholarship Fund is needed to help provide training to pastors like Henry around the world.

Not only do student scholarships have an immense impact on Great Commission work, but it is also the wisest choice in economic stewardship.
Consider this: it costs nearly $75,000 to bring one pastor from Africa to the United States to study for a year. However, for the same $75,000, TMAI can provide one year of training for 50 students in Africa. The return on your investment in student scholarships is significant.
In order to provide maximum opportunity for impact, we are praying that the Lord will provide $2,600,000 by December 31 to position us to provide training for all those who desire it in the coming year. Will you consider making a year-end gift to this end?
Even apart from financial support, will you support our students in prayer that the Lord would bear fruit through their ministries around the world?
Our goal in all that we do is to make Christ’s Name known among the nations. And we believe that this begins with the training of men to shepherd, teach, and protect the churches they serve.
I pray that we would continue to be used by Him for that purpose in the coming year.
Please consider joining us this month as we strive to proclaim God’s truth around the world.
Until they all hear,
Mark Tatlock, President | TMAI
