Mission

Grace Bible Seminary (GBS) was started with the desire to come alongside local churches entrusting biblical truth to faithful men who will be able to teach others (2 Timothy 2:2). Its goal is to train and mentor men to shepherd the church of Jesus Christ. Its focus is teaching them biblical languages, exegesis, theology, and helping them develop practical skills necessary to be excellent students of Scripture, accurate expositors, and capable biblical counselors—encouraging them to be Christlike shepherds and capable overseers as they care for their flock.

Programs

The Master of Divinity (M.Div.) is the highest-level program and provides students with a biblical, theological, and practical basis for serving in the local church. The second master level program is a Master’s in Biblical Studies (M.A.B.S.), which is intended for those who wish to serve faithfully in their church.

GBS offers two certificate programs in a weekend format allowing the student to remain in full-time employment. The Biblical Preaching program helps students to improve their ability to understand the biblical text and accurately preach it to others. The second certificate program is in Biblical Counseling. This program was developed by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and moves the student toward completing the certification process as outlined by ACBC.

I believe that pastoral ministry, as well as preaching and teaching in the local church requires a profound understanding of God’s Word. That is why it is important for me to acquire the skills necessary to work with the text in the original languages. Today people in the church are hungry for substantive and faithful preaching of the Bible and I want to serve my brothers in sisters to the best of my ability in that regard.
