Prayer Update – October 11, 2014

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again
to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
I Peter 1:3

Dear Praying Friends,

Thank God for answering prayer and bringing so many students to the first two offerings of the Czech Bible Institute. There are around 20 students in the Bible Foundations program and nearly 10 in the Pastoral Training class. Praise the Lord with us! Pray for God’s gracious provision for and protection of this inaugural group of students.

TBA (Croatia) is also very grateful for the six new students who have enrolled in the full-time program there. Continue to pray for TBA’s ongoing translation/publishing projects, especially the MacArthur Bible Handbook which would be a valuable resource for TBA’s one-year Bible program.

The launch of Berea Seminary (Spain) is taking place Oct. 10 – 12 with an accompanying conference on Training and Discipleship taught by Phil Foley, a pastor from Vallejo, CA. Besides the 15 men who are continuing and have taken previous training, there are 18 new students beginning the first year of the three-year program. The initial degree offering will be in Expository Preaching. Pray for the teachers and students at Berea.

Alexey Kolomiytsev from WGBI (Russian language/multi-country) recently ministered at a conference and seminar for SCBT (Russia). The topics were on humility and biblical foundations for expository preaching. The conference was attended by about 300 pastors and church leaders while the seminar was taught to about 75 students. Pray that the truths taught will bear much fruit in the lives of the hearers, for the building up of the church in Russia.

Pray for the new Biblical Counseling II program which recently got underway at EBTC (Germany/Switzerland). Church leaders are beginning to see the need for this ministry in their congregations. A week-long Biblical Counseling summit which was held over the summer also reinforced the need to apply biblical principles to personal life. Continue to pray for those who are being trained in these areas that God would use them in a special way to help strengthen their churches.

Please pray for the upcoming TMAI European regional summit to be held in Berlin October 20 – 24. Pray for these training center leaders as they pray and plan, that God would refresh them and also use them in each other’s lives to sharpen their focus for ministry in their respective locations.

Thank you for praying with us!
