Prayer Update – September 16, 2014

“With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view,
be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints..”
Ephesians 6:18

Dear Prayer Partners,

The fall semester at SCBT (Russia) began earlier this month with all programs continuing. There are 75 men in Level I, 12 continuing in Level II and 55 entering the Biblical Counseling Program. Please pray for the Russian nationals who are now shouldering the whole load at SCBT for the first time. Pray for unity and love among them during this transition time and adjustment to the many new and added responsibilities.

Please pray for the Biblical Counseling seminars being sponsored by SETS (Albania) in two different cities September 17 – 20 and September 22 – 25. Pray for clarity in presenting the importance of practical application of biblical principles to “real” life.

Pray for the upcoming conference in East Asia at the end of this month which will include the initial release of the new MacArthur Study Bibles in Chinese. Pray that this resource will be a rich blessing and encouragement to many. Pray also for wisdom as the leaders of the expository preaching program seek to serve students in new locations who are requesting their help and instruction.

Pray for the continuing pilot project ITA (Italy) is conducting in Verona and Sardinia. Module three (of four) in the Hermeneutics program has just been completed in Verona. Pray for the ongoing classes which are being taught at ITA in Messina. Systematic Theology I will be taught in early October.

Christ Seminary (South Africa) is beginning to receive students from graduates’ congregations. Thank the Lord for this blessing of being able to train the students and know that what is taught will be reinforced, along with discipling, back at the students’ home churches.

Pray for wisdom for the leadership of IBS (Ukraine) as they press on in the face of continuing political unrest in the country. Pray that the students will have safety in travel to and from the training center and be able to complete their training without disruption.

Trusting the Lord with you,

The Master’s Academy International
