Prayer Update – July 15, 2014

“Praise the Lord, all nations; Laud Him, all peoples!
For His lovingkindness is great toward us, And the truth of the Lord is everlasting.
Praise the Lord!” Psalm 117:1, 2

Dear Praying Friends,

Thank you for your prayers for the many pastoral conferences which were held in May and June. These conferences are important because of the content taught, the shared fellowship among those gathered to attend, the modeling of expository preaching, and the raised awareness of the training opportunities offered by our pastoral training centers. Pray that God would use these conferences to draw more students to commit themselves to be trained.

Our new training center in Czech Republic (CBI) is praying for students for their two new fall classes in Biblical Foundations and Pastoral Training. Pray also for the resources needed to publish the first ever Old Testament Commentary in the Czech language.

The Zurich site of EBTC (Germany/Switzerland) graduated 50 students this year. They will be starting a Biblical Counseling program this fall. Pray for the students who will be enrolling for this new academic year.

Pray for ITA (Italy) as they continue their transition of offering training from the base of a local church in the city of Messina, Sicily. This unity of church body life with leadership training is culturally unique and they hope to be a model that other churches will follow. Pray that this vision will be caught by the churches in Verona and Sardinia where the pilot modular teaching events are currently being held.

Pray for the leadership of Berea (Spain) as they prepare to launch their seminary level classes in October. Pray for wisdom in selecting students as there are more interested than can be accommodated at this time. Because there are men who have already completed modular courses, first year and third year classes will be able to start simultaneously.

Christ Seminary (South Africa) is gradually extending its influence into other African countries. There are currently CS graduates in 10 different countries. Pray for wisdom as the leadership seeks to discern how to respond to requests from other countries and many churches in South Africa for extension programs.

Continue to pray for IBS (Ukraine) as they put their trust in God during this time of ongoing political instability. Their students are affected by the unrest in varying ways. Pray especially for Christian unity between Russian and Ukrainian believers.

Thank you for praying with us,
