Prayer Update – April 18, 2014

“But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.
For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead.
For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive.”
I Corinthians 15:20 – 22

Dear Praying Friends,

Thank the Lord with us for the three newest members of the TMAI family who were officially welcomed at the recent TMAI meetings in L.A. They are: Central African Preacher’s Academy (Malawi), Grace Bible Seminary (Singapore) and Czech Bible Institute (Czech Republic). Pray for partners to come alongside these new training centers as they strive to train expository pastors in these regions.

Please pray for the 2nd annual Preach the Word Conference sponsored by ITA (Italy) which takes place in Rome April 29 – May 2. Pastors Carey Hardy and Rick Holland will be teaching alongside Lucio Stanisci and Johnny Gravino on the topic of “Rediscovering the Son.” Rick Holland’s book “Uneclipsing the Son” has been translated and will be given to attendees.

Pray also for the upcoming church ministry conference (Russian language) hosted by EBTC (Germany/Switzerland) with speaker Alexey Kolomiytsev from WGBI on the topic of “Salvation by Faith Alone.” The dates are May 12 – 14. This conference will be immediately followed by the annual Shepherds’ Conference, May 15 – 17. Pray that these conferences may serve to strengthen and encourage the attendees as they grow in their personal worship and public proclamation of Jesus Christ and the salvation offered through Him.

Pray for the faculty of TSBC (New Zealand) as they seek to expand their course offerings and add a new pastoral track beginning in 2015. Pray for the decisions regarding curriculum and for the process of recruiting qualified students for the new program.

Pray for Christ Seminary (South Africa) as they work on adding volumes to their library in order to maintain their accreditation. They need to add volumes of commentaries, Old Testament and New Testament theologies, biographies and church history texts.

The SCBT (Russia) extension in Armenia completed its seventh session last month and also conducted the annual pastors’ conference with 80 pastors from all over Armenia in attendance. Pray that these pastors will catch the vision for expository preaching as the see it being modeled in the conferences and being taught in the modules.

Thank you for your prayer partnership with us!
