Prayer Update – June 28, 2013

“If then you have been raised up with Christ,
keep seeking the things above,
where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Set your mind on the things above,
not on the things that are on earth.”
Colossians 3:1 – 2

Dear Friends,

Thank you for praying for the spring conferences held at many of our training centers. The TSBC (New Zealand) Impact Bible Conference on the priorities and practices of the local church hosted 600 attendees. There were 26 sessions taught by international speakers, faculty of TSBC and other visiting pastors designed to bring the purpose of the church into full view with biblical clarity. There were also special sessions for women. Please pray that a lasting effect may be evidenced as conference attendees return to their local churches all around New Zealand.

Dr. James White recently finished teaching a special course on the Apologetic use of New Testament Textual Criticism for IBS (Ukraine) and their Russian speaking extension at the European Bible Training Center. The purpose of the course was to better prepare the men to defend the inerrancy and authority of the New Testament as well as defending the accurate transmission of the New Testament. Dr. White is considered a top authority in this area and has held formal debates on this topic. Thank the Lord with us for the privilege it was to have him come and address the students.

Pray for the June graduates of the various EBTC (Germany/Switzerland) locations and programs. Pray that the Lord will open just the right ministry opportunities for those who are transitioning into new positions, and supportive congregations for those who are returning to current positions.

Leading up to graduation on July 20, WGBS (Mexico) will be hosting a conference for seminary graduates and upper classmen in conjunction with their 15th anniversary celebration July 15 – 20! Pray for the two special speakers, Pastor Henry Tolopilo and Dr. Evis Carballosa as they prepare for, and minister at this conference.

Pray for the 40 students currently enrolled at the seminary in Honduras (SEPE/MEDA). Eleven are beginning the final stretch toward graduation in December. Pray that they will finish well and that God will meet the needs of their families during the times they are absent in order to attend classes. Please pray also for God to provide needed finances for the school to meet their financial obligations for this academic year. Pray for political stability as the country goes through an election this year.

We thank the Lord for your partnership with us!
