Prayer Update—October 19, 2016

“If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above,
where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.”

Colossians 3:1—2

Dear Praying Friends,

Thank the Lord with TBA (Croatia) for the completion of the Croatian version of The MacArthur Bible Handbook! Pray that this tool may find its way into many homes and be useful in bringing more Biblical understanding to those who use it. Also, please pray for several TBA graduates who are seeking to plant churches in areas where there is currently no church presence. Pray that God would strengthen them and raise up leaders from the congregations to help shoulder the load of this difficult task.

ITA (Italy) is very thankful for God answering their prayers for a vehicle for the training center! It has arrived and is being put to use! Pray for the ITA staff as they spend time over the next three months developing their program with a team of academic advisors. Pray that this investment will lay a valuable groundwork for future ministry.

Pray for the professors at CAPA (Malawi) and for the 25 students currently enrolled in the M.Div. program. Pray for wisdom as they, together, seek to discern and grapple with biblical versus cultural principles and practices. Pray also that God would bring rain to the country which is experiencing severe power shortages due to drought and low river flow which is the source of their energy.

Pray for the GBS (East Asia) team as they explore some new opportunities for expanding their training in new places. Their first pastor’s conference during the summer went well with fifteen attendees from three different countries. Please also pray for a necessary building code approval so their current building may be used for classes.

TEA (Philippines) is adding two more training sites to the three current training sites for their three-year modular program for Expository Preaching & Pastoral Ministry track. Pray for them as they work on developing use of online education technology to help facilitate homework submission and more timely feedback from professors. Thank the Lord for strengthening and encouraging those who attended the recent TMAI Asia/Pacific regional summit hosted by TEA in Manila.

Please pray for the Europe Regional Summit being held in Vienna at the end of this month. This is an opportunity for the training center leaders to meet, fellowship, collaborate and discuss future plans with one another. Pray that these days will be profitable, refreshing and will stimulate them to even more effective ministry at their respective centers.

Thank you for praying with us.
