Prayer Update – October 12, 2015

“How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.”
Psalm 1:1-2

Dear Prayer Team,

Thank the Lord with us for the generosity of TMAI friends who made it possible for a generator to be purchased and installed at IBS (Ukraine) to supply steady power for the students’ classrooms and living quarters. This has been a great blessing in allowing teaching and learning to continue in spite of the interruptions in the national power supply on account of the unrest in Ukraine. Also, praise the Lord with us for an IBS graduate who, besides working in his church, is having a fruitful ministry in a local school. Twice a week he is there teaching Bible classes to students as well as leading a study in the book of James with teachers.

Pray for the teachers and students at PTS (India) who are in the middle of their academic year. Pray for a growing love for the Lord and commitment to Scripture, in their own lives first of all, and then in their families and ministries.

Our East Asia training center helped facilitate TMAI’s first “The Christian & The Workplace” vocation conference which was well-received by many Christian professionals. Pray that these conferences will be helpful to those seeking to better integrate their faith and their work. The second conference took place in New York and the last one will be taking place later this month in Berlin.

Two of our training centers have recently been presented with opportunities to extend their training to neighboring countries by special requests from groups of pastors. MEDA (Honduras) was recently visited by several pastors from Costa Rica and WGBS (Mexico) has been contacted by pastors in Puerto Rico. Please pray for wisdom as they consider how to help these leaders who are so anxious to study in order to better shepherd their people. WGBS faculty are doing some teaching in Puerto Rico this month.

CS (South Africa) is also aware of many churches in their country who would be interested in hosting extension programs. Pray for God’s direction and provision in this regard.

Although it is located in Sicily, ITA (Italy), is also investing in training church leaders in northern Italy at the invitation of one of their students. Besides desiring to learn more himself, this student is burdened to help other local churches embrace a more biblical philosophy of ministry. Pray for the teachers who periodically travel to northern Italy to teach about 12 men there.

Thank you for your partnership with us in prayer!
