Prayer Update – May 17, 2015

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle,
reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.
And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”
James 3:17-18

Dear Praying Friends,

Pray for one of our faculty at TBA (Croatia) as he seeks to follow-up on previous graduates in order to encourage and mentor them in their ministries and church-planting endeavors. This will be in addition to continuing to teach current students. TBA is encouraged that their Bible Survey program has begun to be used in local churches with their own members as a way to teach them how to do personal study of Scripture and provide some accountability.

CAPA (Malawi) held their first graduation on April 22 for the 28 students who completed the one-year expository preaching course! Pray for more long-term teachers (especially help with Greek and Hebrew) and additional administrative help as they prepare to launch their MDiv program this August.

Please pray for the Impact Bible Conference being hosted by TSBC (New Zealand) May 29 – June 1 with speakers Paul Washer and Jerry Wragg.

Pray for Vincent (faculty at TEA, Philippines) as he meets weekly with a group of 13 pastors in order to teach them the process for preparing and delivering expository sermons. They are working through the book of I Thessalonians together. Pray that this would impact them personally, and also equip them to feed their congregations the Word of God in a powerful way.

Pray for the upcoming pastors’ conference hosted by SCBT (Russia) May 31 – June 2. The theme is “Pastoral Ministry and Biblical Counseling.” Pray for John Street who will be speaking and for the 500 men who are expected to attend. Pray for sufficient funds to be provided to cover the costs for the attendees.

The leadership at CS (South Africa) would like to begin offering more advanced degrees as well as expand course offerings in other cities such as Pretoria and Capetown. Please pray for wisdom as they plan for this expansion and for provision of needed resources.

Thank you for praying with us for the glory of God among the nations!
