Prayer Update—May 15, 2017

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing,
give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Dear Praying Friends,

This week begins the special conferences and events sponsored by EBTC (Germany/Switzerland) in commemoration of 500 years since the Reformation. Please pray for God’s blessings on the speakers, attendees, and safety in travel.

Pray for the students at SETS (Southeastern Europe) as they study and gain tools to be more effective leaders in their congregations. Pray for the teachers to be able to communicate clearly and for the mentoring relationships to be spiritually enriching.

MEDA/SEPE (Honduras) is thankful for the large, first-year class that began this year and for others expressing interest in the program. Even though they represent many different churches, pray that there would be a Spirit-blessed unity of purpose among the students as they prepare together to be more useful in their service and more precise in their teaching of God’s Word.

Please pray for wisdom for the leadership team of IDEX (Spanish language – U.S. based) as they adjust to upcoming changes affecting the ministry while seeking to do their work efficiently and be good stewards for the glory of God. Pray for physical stamina for director Josiah Grauman as he leads the team. Also please begin praying for the planning, organizing and financing for the pastors’ conference they will be hosting mid-August at Grace Community Church in Los Angeles.

Pray for two congregations led by students of WGBS (Mexico) which have recently been going through difficult trials. Pray that these pastors will have the wisdom and courage to obey and apply the Biblical principles they are in the process of learning as they deal with disciplinary and doctrinal issues in their churches. Thank the Lord for supplying more copies of the primary textbook the professors are using for the pastoral ministry course.

Berea (Spain) completed two conferences, “The Christ-Centered Family” in February and “Evangelism from the book of Acts” in March. Thank the Lord for those who attended and for the dialogue which was stimulated regarding these topics. Ten students will be graduating from the seminary early next month. Pray that the instruction they have received will be put to use and benefit those in the congregations they serve.

Pray for strength and stamina for the faculty of our East Asia training center as they prepare materials, travel, and teach in various settings. Pray for their protection as well.

Thank you for praying with us!
