Prayer Update—March 29, 2016

“I will rejoice greatly in the Lord, My soul will exult in my God;
For He has clothed me with garments of salvation,
He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness…”
Isaiah 61:10

Dear Praying Friends,

Please pray for the application/recruitment process already underway for the fall 2016 launch of the EBTC Vienna extension program. Ask the Lord to draw students who are serious about teaching His word to this new opportunity for training. Thank the Lord for the recently completed biblical counseling seminar which was held in Vienna.

The Lord has generously provided for the Moorheads’ visas so they can move to the Czech Republic and assist at CBI. Pray for their travels at the end of this month and for their transition to this new country, language and ministry. Another answer to prayer – the Old Testament Commentary publishing project was completed in time for many to be given as Christmas gifts at the end of 2015!

CAPA (Malawi) is in the process of seeking necessary, official accreditation status. Pray that this will be granted in God’s timing. Pray for the McCracken family as they move to Malawi and Tony begins teaching pastoral ministry classes in the M. Div. and diploma programs as soon as they get there.

The TEA (Philippines) Expository Preaching and Pastoral Ministry program has been successfully launched. There are thirteen men in this first group. Pray for the students as they adjust to the demands of this new level of study. Pray also for the instructors that they may have wisdom as they develop the curriculum and meet with the students in discipleship labs once a week.

Igor G., who completed his Th.M. at The Master’s Seminary in May 2015, is now back at SCBT (Russia) teaching courses formerly taught by missionary faculty. Pray for him as he shoulders the instruction for Ecclesiology and Eschatology, Theology Proper, and Church History II. Pray also for the faculty who are traveling 2500 miles to teach modules at a location in Siberia to church leaders who are part of a fellowship of Baptist churches.

Pray for our training center teachers as they present the truths of God’s Word to students whose worldview may be very different from their own. The grid through which information is filtered can have a profound influence on understanding of concepts. Pray for special wisdom and discernment from the Lord as they strive for clarity of instruction and meaningful application in the students’ context of living and ministry.

Thank you for your prayer partnership with us!
