Prayer Update – March 17, 2015

“We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him,
because we shall see Him just as He is.
And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him
purifies himself, just as he is pure.”
I John 3:2b – 3

Dear Praying Friends,

Thank you for praying for the TMAI International Symposium on March 2. God blessed the conference with Calvary Bible Church’s warm hospitality, the speakers’ messages, and the opportunity for sweet fellowship among the several hundred globally diverse attendees united around God’s inerrant Word.

Pray that God would supply the remaining funds needed to complete the translation/printing project of the OT commentary which CBI (Czech Republic) would like to have available by this fall. It will be the first conservative commentary on the OT to be made available in the country. Please also pray for our training center professors and graduates as they draft a proposal to present at an important national meeting in April calling for a cessation of partnerships with Roman Catholic churches which has come about because of strong ecumenical pressures.

Pray for our training center in East Asia as they teach their 2-week, modular courses on topics related to expository preaching to various groups of students.

MEDA (Honduras) began their new seminary year in January with 37 students. Pray for the teachers and students as they progress through the important content that God would use it in their lives personally and also to further their preparation for His work. One professor was recently encouraged to visit a graduate at his church where he has started an institute to train other men for ministry! Several of these are interested in starting church plants which would be connected to the graduate’s church.

Continue to pray for peace in Ukraine and for the staff and students at IBS as they seek to teach and study amid the uncertainties and challenges.

The staff at Berea (Spain) are encouraged and also challenged by the high interest expressed by students wanting to be trained! The demand is exceeding not only their expectations, but also their current ability and resources. While thanking the Lord for this wonderful response, please also pray for much wisdom as decisions need to be made in selection of new applicants and strategic use of available resources.

Pray for the students at IDEX (U.S. based Spanish language) as they study and then apply what they are learning in their own congregations. Pray also for the staff as they prepare and present the courses.

We are thankful for your partnership with us through prayer!
