Prayer Update – July 15, 2015

“Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand;
and we exult in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2

Dear Prayer Partners,

Many of our training centers have begun biblical counseling programs to assist church leaders in guiding themselves and their congregations in applying the principles of God’s word to the issues in their lives. Please pray for the 30 participants in the counseling certification process offered by a training center in one of our sensitive fields.

ITA (Italy) is thankful for a new professor, Matt Johnston, who has already taught a course on the person and work of Christ and the Holy Spirit for the expository preaching certificate program. Thanks to answered prayer, funds for purchasing two new computers for the academy office were recently received. Continue praying for funds to complete publishing “Generations of Grace” Sunday school materials and a book on preaching. There is still a need for a vehicle for the academy as well.

Pray for the teachers and students at CAPA (Malawi) as their second year gets underway next month. Their desire is to produce a fraternity of pastors committed to expository preaching and a biblical framework of ministry. Already, three Malawian pastors are assisting in the teaching. “Pastors training pastors” is a key principle of CAPA.

This month students will be graduating from WGBS (Mexico). Pray for them as they seek to integrate what they have been taught into their ongoing ministries in their respective congregations.

“Cults and False Religions” is a course being taught this month at TSBC (New Zealand). Pray for clarity and discernment as students learn the biblical grid for evaluating religious teachers and teachings.

Continue to pray for the CS (South Africa) students and professors, now in the middle of their academic year, to persevere and finish strong in the Lord and in His Word.

Thank you for praying with us, for the glory of the Lord Jesus!
