Prayer Update – January 25, 2016

“For I proclaim the name of the Lord;
Ascribe greatness to our God! The Rock!
His work is perfect, For all His ways are just;
A God of faithfulness and without injustice,
Righteous and upright is He.”
Deuteronomy 32:3-4

Dear Praying Friends,

Please pray with SETS (Europe) for the necessary funds to translate John MacArthur’s one-volume New Testament commentary into the national language. It will be a valuable resource to the students as well as to believers at large. The goal is to have it available by early 2017.

One of the professors at TBA (Croatia) has been able to make regular visits to graduates who are pastoring and planting churches in Croatia and surrounding countries. He has seen a need in the churches for instruction regarding biblical marriage and parenting. He is gradually being invited to teach these principles when he visits. Pray that as he comes alongside the graduates and their congregations, many of whom are first generation believers, they would be greatly encouraged to learn what God desires for families and be willing to implement in their own lives what many have them have never seen modeled.

Pray for the Moorheads as they prepare to join the work at CBI (Czech Republic). Pray especially for a smooth visa approval process and for the remaining monthly and one-time funds needed for them to arrive in April.

On January 22 – 23, ITA (Italy) is sponsoring a two-day conference on “The Charismatics” at their training location in northern Italy. Although conceived as a regional conference, there will be attendees from other parts of the country as well. Pray for wisdom as they strive to instruct carefully regarding doctrinal discernment. Thank the Lord with them for His supply of the funds needed for a ministry vehicle, an answer to prayer! Pray for wisdom in the purchase of a reliable vehicle.

Pray for TSBC (New Zealand) as they prepare the curriculum for their Biblical Counseling courses which will prepare students for certification through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). They are planning to begin offering this in 2017.

IBS (Ukraine) is thrilled to have a record number of students this year in all their programs, nearly 400! Thank the Lord that in spite of the disruptions of war, He is continuing to allow the training to continue. They are also rejoicing that the school will celebrate its 25th anniversary this year.
