Prayer Update – January 15, 2015

“I said to the Lord, Thou art my God;
Give ear, O Lord, to the voice of my supplications.”
Psalm 140:6

Dear Praying Friends,

Please pray for ITA’s (Italy) “Preach the Word” conference January 16 – 17, 2015 focusing on the importance of godliness in the local church, being held in Verona, Italy.

Thank the Lord for the safety in travel and warm fellowship which was enjoyed by training center representatives who met in Singapore December 4 – 6 for the TMAI Regional meeting. These are important times of refreshment, instruction and planning for the leadership of our training centers.

WGBS (Mexico) is thankful for the largest number of students (200) in their 16 year history. Six new professors, graduates and some nearing graduation, are being groomed to come alongside the current eight faculty members to help shoulder the teaching load at the main “campus” as well as the four seminary extension locations. Pray for these men preparing for ministry in the seminary and for the students that the training they receive will bear much fruit in their current and future ministries.

Pray for the TEA (Philippines) leadership as they seek to develop a new 2-year program focused on Expository Preaching and Pastoral Ministry. Also pray for them as they evaluate opportunities to expand their training to other strategic sites in the Manila area as well as other islands of the country.

CS (South Africa) launched ten new graduates last month, all of them already in, or soon to be in ministry in South Africa. This brings the number of CS graduates to 160. Pray for them to fully apply all that they have studied so hard to learn as they move into this new phase of their service to Christ.

MEDA (Honduras) also had a December graduation. Pray for these recent graduates as well, that the training they have received will be a benediction to those they will now teach in their congregations.

WGBI (Russian language/multi-country) has a wonderful opportunity to help in a pastoral training program in Israel seeking to equip leaders in Russian-speaking evangelical churches. There is an estimated 1.2 million Russian-speakers in Israel but there are very few theologically trained men prepared for pastoral ministry. Pray for Alexey as he prepares and delivers a Pastoral Ministry course and for the Holy Spirit to work in the students’ hearts during the course. Pray also for physical health and strength for all during travel.

Pray for the five new 1st year students and two 2nd year students at TBA this school year. Pray for their growth, not just in intellectual knowledge, but in deepening conviction and personal holiness as they study God’s Word in their classes.

Thank you for praying along with us!
