Prayer Update – February 17, 2015

“The Lord is not slow about His promise,
as some count slowness, but is patient toward you,
not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”
II Peter 3:9

Dear Prayer Partners,

Thank the Lord with us for supplying the scholarships needed for the Kosovar church leaders who are taking the intensive courses taught by the staff of SETS (Albania). Pray for these and the other students at SETS to persevere in this second half of their academic year. (Those finishing the certificate program will graduate in March.) The next Biblical Counseling seminar will be presented in March. Pray for those teaching and those attending.

Please pray for a 2013 graduate from TBA (Croatia) who is seeking to establish a Bible-teaching church in his hometown in southeastern Siberia. Besides faithfully teaching his tiny congregation, he is burdened to evangelize the surrounding areas where the gospel has never really penetrated. Pray for God to strengthen this group of believers and to use them mightily for His glory.

In January, at the request of regional pastors, SCBT (Russia) began a three-year, part-time extension in Irkutsk, Siberia with 35 men attending. Pray for provision of funds for this extra travel for the professors. Pray for the family conference happening THIS WEEK on the biblical model for the family. Pray for the main speaker, Paul Washer, who will also teach a course on this subject for the seminary students.

PTS (India) will be graduating six students on February 20. Please pray for clear direction for them as they transition into ministries in India and Myanmar. Please also begin praying for a strategic pastor’s conference to be held March 25 – 26 in which three PTS faculty will be preaching and teaching on “The Sufficiency of Scripture” to 200 pastors affiliated with a denomination in northeastern India.

Pray for the faculty at CAPA (Malawi) as they seek to establish their academic library, begin publishing resources and work on plans to establish a three-year M.Div. program as early as the next academic year (August 2015). They are thrilled to be a part of God’s answer to one student’s prayer who had prayed for six years that he would find a school that would teach him to preach the entire Bible!

TSBC (New Zealand) has asked prayer for one of their December 2014 graduates, originally from Nigeria. The couple has been living in New Zealand longer than anticipated and is now expecting their first child. They need wisdom for their future.

Please pray for the upcoming TMAI International Symposium on March 2 with an emphasis on the implications for inerrancy for the global church. Many new friends will be with us for this important day and we desire God to be glorified and His people to be stimulated to excel still more in extending His kingdom around the world.

Thank you for praying with us!
