Prayer Update – December 31, 2015

“Great and marvelous are Thy works, O Lord God, the Almighty;
Righteous and true are Thy ways, Thou King of the nations.
Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Thy name?
For Thou alone art holy; For all the nations will come and worship before Thee,
For Thy righteous acts have been revealed.”
Revelation 15:3b–4

Dear Prayer Team,

CBI (Czech Republic) is thankful for the 30 students God has brought to them this school year. Fourteen are in the brand new Biblical Counseling Program, fourteen in the Bible Survey Program and three in the Pastoral Training Program. Pray for the completion of the Old Testament Commentary publishing project. It will be the first conservative Old Testament Commentary to be available in the Czech language.

Pray for the faculty at EBTC (Germany/Switzerland) as they revise curriculum for men going into the preaching and counseling program in order to provide a stronger foundation for their future courses. They also desire to develop a second year of studies to follow the one-year Bible survey course which would include more theology, hermeneutics, and philosophy of ministry content.

Eighteen years after its founding, Christ Seminary (South Africa) recently transitioned to 100% national leadership which is the eventual goal for all our training centers. Thank the Lord for raising up these leaders to carry on the important work of teaching the next generation of church leaders for their own country. Another praise is the potential of two new Christ Seminary extension sites in Pretoria and Johannesburg. Please pray for wisdom for those responsible for set up and teaching at the new sites, as well as for wisdom for them related to the government regulations that need to be followed.

Please ask God to provide funds so that PTS (India) can begin building their own campus on land that has already been purchased for this purpose. So far they have had to rent space for their classes and the current location does not provide enough room. Pray also for God to bring more faculty to them who will meet the government’s requirements for persons coming into the country to work.

Several of our training centers which have calendar-year academic years have just enjoyed another season of student graduations. Pray that these new graduates will be diligent to apply the tools they have learned during their years of study in the places of ministry where God has placed them. Pray that their lives would be used in a mighty way.

Thank you for praying with us, for the glory of our great God!
