Prayer Update—December 19, 2016

And the angel said to them,
“Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people;
for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
Luke 2:10-11

Dear Prayer Partners,

This year marked the tenth anniversary for SEPE Seminary (Honduras). Thank the Lord for this milestone, and continue to pray for the forty-five students currently studying there.

There are twenty-six students in three classes studying at CBI (Czech Republic) this academic year, and there are more who have expressed an interest in joining in the future. In addition, the denominational leadership is considering partnering with CBI for training their pastors. Thank the Lord for this answer to prayer.

IDEX (U.S.-based, Spanish-language) is preparing to launch an extension campus in Bogota, Colombia! TMS graduate, Fernando Jaimes and his wife moved to Bogota this fall to oversee the training there. Thank the Lord for the doors that have opened to make this a possibility, and pray for Fernando as he provides leadership to this endeavor.

Pray for the leaders of ITA (Italy) as they consider moving in the direction of establishing local campuses around the country in order to model church-based training, which would also make training accessible to more people. There have already been requests for this from cities where men are currently pastoring or church-planting.

The staff at Berea (Spain) are encouraged that twelve of thirteen graduates are enrolled in a new program developed for them in Bible and Theology, with particular application to preaching. Pray that they would benefit from this extra training and it would sharpen their ministry to their congregations.

EBTC (German site) is rejoicing that renovations are completed in their new building and they are able to make full use of the facility! They are even now, hosting students from five different countries who are attending an intensive weeklong Master’s course focusing on training in Greek syntax. Thank the Lord for this place and pray that it can be a useful tool for many students and teachers from all over Europe.

Thank you for praying with us.
