Prayer Update—August 18, 2016

“God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1

Dear Prayer Team,

Several of our training centers begin a new academic year in September. Pray for the teachers as they make preparations this month for the start of the new year in just a couple weeks. Pray also for new students as they adjust to taking classes along with their work and family responsibilities.

Pray for the fall opening of the new EBTC (Germany/Switzerland) extension in Vienna and for the Lord to draw many to study at this new site. Thank the Lord for the 160 students who graduated from the three EBTC programs in the spring, and pray for their perseverance and fruitfulness in the places of ministry where God has put them.

IBS (Ukraine) is thankful to have celebrated their 25th anniversary as of this year! Please continue to pray for safety in the midst of ongoing fighting. Although the war has not escalated, the fighting and casualties continue.

PTS (India) is excited to be embarking on their fifteenth academic year! Thank the Lord for the five new students He has brought to study with them. Please also pray for the needed government permits and the funds to complete the first stage of building on the land which was acquired a few years ago. Having their own permanent location will be a great blessing to the present and future ministry of PTS.

Pray for the leadership of SCBT as they navigate the implications of new laws recently passed which impact religious ministries. Thank the Lord for the annual preacher’s conference which took place at the end of May. Four hundred fifty church leaders were expected to attend.

WGBI (Russian language/multi-country) staff were privileged to teach in conferences in the U.S. and in Israel during the month of June. Pray for the Russian-speaking attendees as they continue to ponder and put into practice the truths they were taught at these events. Pray also for the new parenting class which will begin this fall in the online Bible institute.

Thank you for praying with us.
