Prayer Update – April 16, 2015

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;
and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some,
but encouraging one another;
and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.”
Hebrews 10:23–25

Dear Prayer Team,

This Saturday, April 18, the Baptist Union in the Czech Republic will consider a proposal that would call for an end to partnerships between the Baptist Union and Roman Catholic churches in the country. Please pray for this situation!

SETS (Albania) is encouraged to have their first students from Kosovar this year. Pray for all twenty students to grow in godliness and skill in pastoral ministry. Pray also for the Shepherds’ Conference to be held April 23 – 25.

ITA (Italy) will be holding their Shepherd the Flock conference at Messina Bible Church in Sicily, April 24 – 25. The topic is “Marriage According to the Scriptures.” Pray for the messages to be clear and that those attending would be willing to learn and apply new truths in their personal relationships.

Pray for the EBTC (Germany/Switzerland) Shepherds’ Conference also coming up, May 7 – 9, in Wittenberg. Continue to pray for a new location for EBTC in Central/East Berlin as they have outgrown their present facility. Additionally, they desire to begin another extension in Vienna, Austria. Pray for wisdom as they develop these plans.

PTS (India) is beginning a new expositors’ training program in Bangalore this month for about twenty-five church leaders. Pray for this group of students and the professors who will be teaching them.

Pray for strength and stamina for the faculty at WGBS (Mexico) as they juggle the responsibilities of teaching at their main campus as well as four other extensions, one satellite campus in Mexico City, one extension in El Salvador and two more in northern and western Mexico. There are other groups requesting WGBS open extension programs in their communities. Pray for wisdom to know how to respond to these requests.

WGBI (Russian language/multi-country) are continuing to teach sessions in Rovno. The 50 students are in the middle of a three-year program. Pray for their safety as they travel from all over Ukraine to attend these sessions.

Thank you for partnering with us in prayer!
